Uncle Bobby asks the boys to get his tractor from a distant outstation. Its missing a wheel but Bobby has one they can take up and put on. They agree on the mission and reluctantly decide to ask Oppy if they can borrow his dinghy but are met with a hostile reception. So borrow an inflatable dinghy and outboard from a neighbour. What follows is a journey of epic proportions and sees the boys nearly lost at sea and having to survive by living off the land. They apply their best bush mechanic skills and get the tractor wheel on and going. Then they need to get it back....and things don't exactly go smoothly! and start pushing the tractor wheel down the road. But before heading off they steal a collection of useful things from Oppy’s boat AND his brand new shoes
